I want to evaluate Odoo CRM app. So I started Odoo online and selected CRM app. When I login, just about any function i activate brings up errors.

Oops, something went wrong ....

Technical details vary

 - UncaughtPromiseError > OwlError (connecting db)
 - UncaughtClientError > TypeError (opening preferences)

etc. etc.

Is there any basic way to get rid of these errors or do I need to purchase a license?

Is there some instruction for minimum configuration?

@Cybrosys: as the forum doesn't let me directly comment.

I created a fresh online database w/ CRM only (single App version, any other module would be to pay for). There was no setup-wizard, just error messages and then I can access the whatever screen i need. So always there are a number of errors, then the window appears as I think it should be.

For reference if anyone else has a similar problem:
It seems there were some changes in Odoo which cause my browser version to be no longer supported. We have a demo running Odoo 18.0+e (Enterprise-Edition) from our consultant, which works fine. But Odoo saas~18.4+e (Enterprise Edition) obviously has different requirements.

Further testing revealed, minimum FF 127 or 128esr is required.

Hi,

Minimum steps to get a working CRM in Odoo Online


Create a fresh Odoo Online database (free trial is fine).


Install CRM, and make sure Sales and Contacts modules are also installed.


Complete the initial setup wizard when you first login:


Company info


Users & roles


Default currency & language


Assign yourself the CRM Manager role (or Administrator) so permissions aren’t blocking you.


Open CRM again; you should now be able to create Leads or Opportunities.

I just checked your database and was not able to replicate the problem.

I also ran the CLICK EVERYWHERE test and did not run into any problems.
