We have one parent company and a few children companies. We would like all the tickets to be sent to the parent company and then the parent company could further send the tickets to the children companies manually. Is there a way to solve this?

You cannot change the Company of the Ticket.  

The Company of the Ticket is the Company of the Team who is assigned to the Ticket, so you need to change the Team instead.

The solution is as Ray stated. The steps are:

Reassign the ticket to a new team

Since a ticket's company is tied to its assigned team, you can effectively change the company by changing the team. 

  1. Navigate to the Helpdesk app.
  2. Open the ticket you wish to reassign.
  3. Click the "Edit" button.
  4. In the ticket details, change the Helpdesk Team to a different team associated with the desired company.
  5. Click "Save." The ticket's company will update to reflect the new team's company.

on the demo environment the field "company_id" is readonly so if you override the view, make it not readonly, you can change the company_id to the company you would adress the ticket to.
