I want my sales team to start sending emails directly from Odoo online. They register leads and then use the send message button to send an email to a lead. When receiving the email. There are buttons on top of the message saying: Visit Lead/Opportunity. I would like to have those removed so that it looks like a normal email. How can this be done? I've looked at email templates and views but can't seem to figure this one out

Hi,

Those “Visit Lead/Opportunity” buttons are built into Odoo’s notification system. On Odoo Online, the practical solution is to use proper email templates for customer emails instead of the chatter “Send Message” button. If you want to truly remove them from chatter emails, it requires a customization at QWeb template level, which isn’t possible directly in SaaS unless you go through Odoo support or use Studio to add alternative send actions.

Hope it helps

Hello Mathieu,

The behaviour of the send message button is simple. When the receiver of the message is an internal user, his/her email will have the "Visit Lead/Opportunity" to target the specific lead record. This button does not appear on the emails of the portal users and contacts without users.

Solution: If you want to remove the "Visit Lead/Opportunity" button from all the messages sent with "Send Message" button, You'll need to customize the message_post method to achieve the desired result.

Thank you.
