After setting the warehouse setting 3 steps manufacturing, I got addtional route and 2 pull & 1 push rules. Nice:)). the pull rule 1 picks components from stock and as destination pre-production. While the second pull rule (WO) has as source the pre-production location and the supply method "trigger another rule". 

But when creating and executing the MO, the availabilty is orange and the pre-production location is empty. I do not get a transfer request from Odoo. The end of the MO the stock level on pre-prduction is negative for the components. Rule 1 is not triggered. What do I forgot to configure??

You might want to validate the source and destination location set on the Manufacturing operation.

Believe they need to be pre-production and post production.

From your post it seems the push rule didn’t trigger post MO production either

Hi Rani, It persists :)). And thanks for the reminder of the inventory adjustments. There was indeed a MO trail not unbuild to restore the stock. But that didn't solve unfortuanally the triggering issue. But the most fuzzy thing I see on the smart button shopfloor is a Workcentre (for the MO) which is not on operation of the MO AND what is archived!!!
