Posbox - scan decode incorrect

Question

I can't scan correctly a barcode when my scanner is plugged to Posbox.
For example, when I scan the barcode (EAN13) 3288190200005, I've got "#@**!()@))))%"

The log of posbox is :

I got it, it was the keyboard country of the scanner. It was configured to French, and Posbox needs US Keyboard.
I scan the barcode for US keyboard, and it works.

Hello.
How do you configure "the keyboard country of the scanner" (for instance, on a Ubuntu/Debian session)? The graphical utilities allow me to set the keyboard mapping for the whole system, but not for the scanner only. Is it possible to have the barcode scanner configured to US QWERTY and the manual keyboard in another mapping?
