Hi there! We're using odoo 18 to work with leads. They come in, we create "Selling Possibilities" (I don't know whether this is the right English word for it...), check the customer's dates and send an email to the customer, using a template. If the customer doesn´t answer, a next template-mail is sent after two weeks and another last one after another two weeks.
From what we know, odoo can automate these sending processes. How does this work? We would like to have this "cascade" of standard mails going to the customer automatically. Whenever he/she answers, we will of course stop this and go into personal and individual communication with the customer.

Hi,


In Odoo 18, you can automate email sequences using Automated Actions or the Email Marketing / Mass Mailing module.

Create your email templates for the different stages (first, second, last reminder).

Use the Leads/Opportunities model as the trigger for sending emails.

Set up an Automated Action that sends the first email when a lead is created or reaches a certain stage.

Use scheduled actions (cron jobs) to trigger the second and third emails after a set period (e.g., two weeks) if no reply is received.

To detect customer replies, you can track incoming emails linked to the lead via the chatter or the “email received” condition in the automated action.

Configure the automation so that if a reply is received, the sequence stops and the lead moves to personal follow-up.

This creates a cascade of standard mails automatically while keeping all correspondence linked to the lead for tracking and reporting.
