Hi there,

I've been trying to migrate my company's stock databases, which are currently held in MS Excel, into OpenERP 7. I have exported the data as a CSV from Excel, imported the file to OpenERP, and assigned fields to each column label. OpenERP validates the the CSV and imports it fine.

The problem is, it then creates a new inventory for each product (all with the same inventory reference), rather than creating one inventory containing all products in the CSV. Consequently I have several hundred physical inventory entries at the end of the process, and furthermore as OpenERP is seeing these as inventories not products I am not able to track stock levels or create re-order rules or anything of that ilk. Can anyone advise what I might be doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All the best,

Adam
