I have 5 companies setup, but they don't all share the same products. Company A, B, and C. Do not share any products. But Company D supplies A and B. Company E supplies C.
Is there a way to have a product belong to 2 out of 5 companies instead of simply 1 or all?

By creating the field many2many and add the companies which you should make visible.

This is the best answer I could find. I implemented it, and it works very similarly to what I wanted. Really great and simply solution.
