You just used the new fancy whatsapp integration and perhaps you are wondering why does it not have integration with helpdesk.

But I would ask you, are you sure?

  1. Then we will need to have of course whatsapp already setup, if you don’t know how to set up whatsapp you can check this link: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/17.0/applications/productivity/whatsapp.html
  2. When you receive a whatsapp just type the “/lead” command followed by the name of the lead, in this case MIAL, so the input text would be “/lead MIAL”.



  1. This will create a lead called MIAL that can be seen from the from the discussion or the CRM, we will navigate to this lead:


  1. Once we are in the lead, all the information from the contact will show up, if the customer does not exist, they will be created in the moment using the whatsapp name, it will also copy all the conversation we had with the customer prior to the lead creation:

  1. We will click on Convert to Ticket:


  1. A pop-up will show up asking for the Team, Ticket Type and Customer and after inputting the info we can create the ticket:

  1. The ticket will be created on the desired team:

This requires very few clicks and if you were curious, it also allows you to create multiple tickets within the same conversation, keep in mind that whatsapp conversations with more than 24hrs since the last message won’t be reachable.

Yes!!

Remember you need to activate live chat and then activate livechat in helpdesk

Is it possible to create other actions? How to directly create a quote or an external service task?

Not at the moment. But you can create a quote from the lead.
