I can see weight option for some of the products and not for others (Storable products).
Any idea on why is it so?

The problem is still there on version 17.x. You lose the weight option if adding variants. I cannot get shipping rates if the product has no weight attribute. I am not sure if its intentional or a bug.
Hi,
Try enabling the unit of measure option inside Settings -> Inventory.
If that doesn't work, try removing the variants of the product if any and adding them again.

Is it because i have different product lengths?
