Yes, Barcode scanning is supported in POS
If you want to print the barcode of the receipt this is not available by default but there is an app available in Odoo App Store which prints the product image in the receipt. You can install it and use the barcode as product image.

The app name is "Pos product image in receipt" by Webveer
The same company made also another app to add multiple images to the same product, check if you can have one image to appear on the POS and the other to be printed in the receipt.

And, unfortunately, it's not possible to print the barcode on the sales receipts.
