is it possible to show a list with the items that are on back order on the delivery slip?

Everything is possible, you just have to find the right module (or make your own)..
Serious answer: It is possible, but that requires you to modify the report, and probably add some code for the report parser (in order to add the additional info).
On this forum are more questions about reports and how to make/modify them, hopefully that will be enough to get you started.
