I have a first connection issue. The first connection to the title screen is very slow ( betwen a few and fifteen seconds to see the title screen appear). But once I'm connected to the Web App it is pretty responsive.
Do you think is a software problem or a network problem? Can I easily improve this situation?
I tried to disable my firewall but its not effective.

This is because when you enter to login page or first page if you are logged in, browser must download all the css and js files, but when you are inside browser it's going to load everything from your local storage.
I've installed mod_wsgi with Apache server. And it's pretty faster because server is compressing files.

To help you with this question more information is needed. What kind of server and OS are you using. Are you using SSL? When you say first connection, do you mean everything after the first session is quicker than the first, or do you mean that everytime you load the login page it is slow?
Sounds like a dns issue. Make sure your reverse dns is in order.
