when I search for a setting in the settings app, I always, no matter what I am searching, see all settings that were added through custom modules.
How do I have these not show up in the filtered results?

See in this Screenshot: The Email Setting is shown even though it has nothing to do with search criterium "lieferadresse" (delivery address). This setting was added from a custom module.

If your custom module inherits from res.config.settings, please verify that you haven’t overridden methods like _search or _name_search in a way that unintentionally broadens the search scope. This could be the reason you're getting incorrect results when searching in the settings.
