We are in New Zealand, trying to get the Starshipit connector working.

I have followed these guides from Odoo and Starshipit end:
Starshipit: Integrating with Odoo

When I try to add the Starshipit Delivery Method and click Get Rate​ I get an error dialog:

Invalid Operation

Error: this delivery method is not available for this order.

---

My standard delivery method can be applied to orders fine. Does anyone have experience with the Starshipit connector, or know what other configuration issues can cause this error?

This error often points to missing or incorrect shipping details (like address or package weight) required by Starshipit. Double-check your delivery settings and ensure all mandatory fields are populated.

See my other post, this was not the cause.

It was a Starshipit API issue preventing Odoo from reaching the carrier's API to retrieve rates. It was resolved with Starshipit support, not Odoo configuration.

Hi Rani,

See my other post in this thread. The issue was internal Starshipit configuration regarding access to the carrier's API, not mismatch between Odoo and Starshipit configuration.

I have resolved our issue with Starshipit support.

The issue ended up being at the Starshipit end.

I was able to discern through logs that Odoo was reaching the Starshipit API successfully and getting a response, but the Rates array was always empty, which Odoo interprets as the order not being valid for any courier service.

There's some configuration not exposed in the UI that prevented Odoo from hitting our Courier's API directly. Once this was changed, the issue went away.

Hi Justin. We resolved the issue at the Starshipit end. There was some configuration preventing Odoo from reaching the API of the configured carrier.

Thanks I had already watched your video and accessed that guide. Unfortunately the issue persists.
