Velo vzw verhuurt en herstelt fietsen. Ze bieden mensen met een beperkte toegang tot de arbeidsmarkt of die het Nederlands niet machtig zijn een

eerste werkervaring en warmt hen op voor de arbeidsmarkt. Gumbys stak dit nobel initiatief met plezier een handje toe in de vorm van een ERP- totaalpakket.

Velo vzw werkt nauw samen met verschillende partijen, waaronder de KU Leuven. De vzw beschikte niet over genoeg transparantie en rapportering naar hun partners toe. Bovendien was er nog heel wat tijdrovend manueel werk en kon het kassasysteem wel een update gebruiken.

Zei daar iemand Odoo? Het startschot werd gegeven met het pilootproject Velokadee, waarbij ze fietsen verhuren aan kinderen. We maakten een mapping aan, tekenden de bedrijfsprocessen uit en keken na wat nodig was om alles in Odoo te capteren. Naast de basismodules van Odoo werd er ook gebruik gemaakt van enkele gepersonaliseerde modules om alles zo efficiënt mogelijk te laten verlopen. Dit project loopt momenteel op wieltjes en het is de de bedoeling om het project verder op te schalen naar de studentenfietsen en de herstellingen. Tenslotte zal er een koppeling met de KUL- infrastructuur voorzien worden om nog meer te automatiseren.

Velo vzw rents and repairs bicycles. They offer people with limited access to the labor market or who do not speak Dutch a first work experience and warm them up for the labor market. Gumbys was happy to lend a hand to this noble initiative in the form of an ERP total package. Velo vzw works closely with various parties, including KU Leuven. Velo vzw did not have enough transparency and reporting towards their partners. Moreover, there was still a lot of time-consuming manual work and the POS-system could use an update.

Did someone say Odoo? It kicked off with the pilot project Velokadee, where they rent bicycles to children. We created a mapping, drew out the business processes and looked at what was needed to cap everything in Odoo. Besides the basic Odoo modules, some personalized modules were also used to make everything run as efficiently as possible. This project is currently running smoothly and the plan is to scale up the project further to student bicycles and repairs. Finally, a link to the KU Leuven infrastructure will be provided to automate even more.
