EKiBBO, Linda Kabalimba
EKiBBO Farming Services Ltd helps small farmers in Uganda grow better crops using modern technology and phones. They work with over 800 farmers (aiming for 1,500 soon) who grow coffee, cocoa, vanilla, jackfruit, avocado, bamboo and other crops. The company uses computers to track what farmers are growing, helps them sell their crops at better prices, and connects them to loans and quality seeds. This means farmers can earn more money while protecting the environment. The name "EKiBBO" means "basket" in Luganda.
