We have the correct configuration in Odoo 8 that supports the flow Sale Order - Manufacturing Order.

i.e. After confirming a sale order (SO) manufacturing orders (MO) are correctly created and processed.

The MO was for a product that has muti-level BOM. One of the child BOM's has a production location at a subcontractor (supplier)We have the correct routings and a child MO is created for production at the subcontractor.

A stock move issues the products in the child BOM for delivery to the subcontractor.

My client also wishes the Odoo to raise a Purchase Order (PO) to send to the supplier for the cost of manufacturing.

Can Odoo be configured to create the Purchase Order for cost of manufacturing.
