Best repository for Odoo v8 and efficient way for update

Question

Which repository is the best to use for production server and how I can make update for new fixes, usually I use Github.com/odoo/odoo but I'm not sure if it the best and also I don't know how make efficient/automated update from it right now I only use manual update.

Odoo Nightly builds - http://nightly.odoo.com/ [1]   - for automatic update with apt-get

Github.com/odoo/odoo <== this should be the best, I think.
For automatic update, you can create a shell script and install a cron to run the script one per week or once per month which is at your choice.
