Update exchange rate automatically

Question

Hello,
I have a multi-currencies company and the exchange rates are updated automatically as you can see in the next screenshot:
It works fine for the journal entries that have today's date but for previous dates (for example last month's date) the exchange rate is 1.

Isn't it supposed to be automatic and take the actual exchange rate of that specific day from xe.com or am i supposed to enter them manually?

Exchange rates are only retrieved FORWARD IN TIME from when you first run the service.
If you run the service on August 1st, setup with the daily interval, you will only get exchange rates for August.
If you have transactions in July or June, you need to manually enter (or import) historic rates.
