I have a BoM which totals more than $ 3.000. When i update BoM cost on the product the BoM belongs to, i get only $ 700. Why is this happening?

I need to get the exact same value as the BoM. I only have one BoM per product.

It's a pain to continuously need to Update BoM Cost, and now i found that the result is not the BoM cost. How can i use this 'correctly'? Also, is there a way to update BoM cost without doing it manually? I have sales quotations with tens of products and i need to manually update the BoM cost.

Please help!! I'm going insane. Odoo will go online next week and i can't figure these out.

I just want my products to reflect the correct sum of the materials in the product BoM. Is this possible?

Hi:

Regarding your 1st question: Step 1 would be to go into the BoM of one of the products where the cost does not match and click the BoM "Structure & Cost" to review what Odoo is picking up for the cost. The structure may provide some useful clues as to what is going wrong.

Regarding the 2nd question: Update BoM Cost is an action. You can use an automated action or a scheduled action to have it updated automatically.

Thank you Paresh. Regarding the first question, i found that the users were changing the quantities in the BoM, instead of in the quotations...

Regarding the second, I'll try to figure out how to make an automated action for when i update the BoMs.

BTW, for question 2, you also have the option of selecting all the products using the list view and selecting "Compute Price from BoM" from the "Action" menu.

One option would be to Archive the old BoM when a new BoM is created. If you do not want to use Archive but need a history of edits done to a BoM, you will need to do a customization.
