In Odoo 18 core community edition, I am unable to delete any partner even if no documents issued for the partner.
I always get the message: "You cannot remove parts of the audit trail. Archive the record instead. ".
I have checked and Autit Trail is disabled in settings.
How can I disable audit trail?

I have the same issue in Odoo 17. I recently disabled the audit trail and had to remove some entries from the database manually before I could disable it. The contact in question was created after I disabled the audit trail, and it was never used anyway.
I think it was a bug in Odoo 18. After updating the version I am using, this issue was solved. Now I can delete never used partners when "Audit Trail" is disabled.
