How to calculate salary for an employee who joined in the middle of the month in odoo 17

Hi,
Odoo by default calculates the salary for the whole month regardless of the contract start date/Joining date.
I want to subtract the out-of-contract days from the employee's payslip.
For example, if an employee joins on 10th Feb then I want to calculate the salary and remove the amount of the out of contract days from the salary computation.

Can anyone help me with how to do that?

Hi,
In payroll, you have the option to determine the period for
calculating payslips and design the salary structure type to align with
your specific requirements.
Steps:
1. Go to payroll-> Configuration -> Structure Types
Choose Default scheduled pay as Bi-weekly
2.
Go to payroll-> Configuration -> Structures.Create a new
structure with a created salary structure type and default scheduled pay
as 'Bi-weekly'
3. Choose period: 10 Feb - 29 Feb.Then Compute the salary, You will get the half-month
