I am in multiple companies I created a filter but the filter only applies to one company I had the problem after updating to v18

Hi,

When you create a custom filter (saved search) as a user in a particular company, that filter will appear for you even when you switch to another company because it is user-specific. However, other users will not automatically see that filter unless it is explicitly shared. If you want all users across companies to access the same filter, you need to mark the filter as "shared" when creating or editing it.


Example:

When you create a custom filter in Odoo (like “Group by Customer”) and save it without enabling the “Shared” option in a particular company(My company-San Francisco). The filter becomes private and is only visible to the user who created it (in this case, Mitchell).



Even though Mitchell switches to another company(My company -Chicago), he will still see the filter because it is tied to his user account, not the company.

However, other users in the system will not see that filter unless it was marked as “Shared” at the time of saving.




If you want all users to see and use the same filter across all companies, you need to check the “Shared” checkbox when creating or editing the filter.


A different user in the same company can see the filter only if it is marked as shared
