Enter length, width and height of the package of a product

Question

In sales->Products->Inventory you can enter the weight and Volume of a product. Most shipping companies don't ask for volume but require the length, width and height of the package.

I could not find a way to enter this, other than going via studio and adding the 3 fields in the model of the product, but also there I had a question how you can enter it as a dimension, and not a simple float so that it makes use of the dimension units specified in Units of Measure and Packagings.

Use the package type to define dimensions.
You can enter package type in the sales order, or you use packaging in the outbound delivery.  Activate packaging in the settings in the delivery app.  Read about packaging here:
