Dear all, Please let me know, can we put acces restriction for Views in V7?
I mean, can I restrict certain views, say Form view for certain groups, ..but the Tree view should be allowed for the same group.
In the Userinterface----->views---> I can see, Groups tab,
I tried that, but didn't work as expected. Is that meant for the same?
I think its possible through following way.... <form string="Sales Order" version="7.0" groups="base.group_sale_manager"> so only sales manager can see the form view.

Can I Hide the Search view for a particular group ? I mean, In each and very model, there comes a place, where we can do search and Advanced search.. How can I hide it for certain groups?
I think you can add group tag inside search and you can use it. Just like <search string="Search Partner"> <group groups="base.group_sale_manager">....</group></search>
