Is there a way of getting sales orders onto the calendar to then plan when they will be executed?

The date on the order calendar is the order date not the planned order date. I would like to have the order completion dates on a calendar and or to be able to sequence their production.

I could have a manufacturing step and have a MO created for each order if products are "make to order" and "manufacture" and have a bill of materials.

Even so, I'm not sure I can sequence manufacturing orders since an unconfirmed MO does not appear on the calendar and a confirmed MO sheduled date cannot be changed.
