We’ve confirmed that 2-layer BoMs are supported—can this be extended to 3 or 4 layers? Also, can we confirm that the BoMs are not tied to a specific manufacturing site?

Odoo fully supports multi-layered BoMs, including complex structures with 3, 4, or more levels, without any technical limitation. Each sub-assembly can have its own Bill of Materials, and Odoo will automatically generate manufacturing orders for these components as part of the production flow.

This allows you to build complex products with multiple nested components.
BoMs in Odoo are not tied to a specific manufacturing site by default.
A single BoM can be used across different warehouses or production locations.
If needed, you can configure different BoMs or routings for different sites manually.
