In the file static/src/js/db/js of the POS module, it is said that the offline mode support has been dropped!
Does this mean the POS cannot work disconnected at all or just offline start-up is no longer supported?

Hi
POS works in offline mode. This is an important feature of Odoo POS that it can work even in Offline mode.
