1. create new report with a root report?
2. make changes in existing P&L report?
Need the whole procedure for developing a custom report in Odoo with its own COA.

For creating a new report first activate the developer mode
Accounting -> Configuration -> Financial Reports
There you can create a new report.
Here you can create a custom report

The best way to make a custom P&L bookkeeping report in Odoo is to start with the root report and change it as needed. To do this, you have to make your own COA and put it in the report.
Hi John Dee, how do you associate custom COA to custom reports as the "type" list remains the same while creating COA.
