I bought a stock from a vendor and he gives me the 5% discount on total bill. So I added a journal entry of Misc. Income on credit side. Now my profit and loss statement is showing the Misc. Income in Negative. It is the only entry in this category. Where i am making the mistake?

odoo is based on double entry accounting
I would suggest you to use erp system with flow, please create vender biill, receive goods by validating receipts and make a payment then check P&L statement.
