Iraq Altaqa Bitumen Plant is Iraq’s largest private bitumen production facility, strategically positioned 20 km south of Karbala, adjacent to the Karbala Refinery. Designed for high-efficiency, around-the-clock operations, the state-of-the-art plant produces up to 2,000 metric tons of ASTM and BS EN-certified penetration grade bitumen daily, supporting road construction, industrial needs, and international exports.

With over 8,000 operational hours annually and a fully automated control system, the plant ensures consistent quality—especially in key grades like ASTM 60/70. Each batch undergoes more than 12 laboratory tests to verify viscosity, penetration, and softening point compliance, underscoring its "Quality First" approach.
