so if I am producing 100 units of item and storing them into box of 10. how can I auto generate lot number for 10 units lot.
currently I have to to take production in lot of 10 to generate unique lot number, is there way I can set rule to generate lot number for 10 units automatically out of 100 unit that I am producing.
You can only manufacture one lot number in each manufacturing order.
But: Confirm 10, with one lot number, Odoo will ask if you want to create backorder for the rest. If you use work orders (operation in BOM ), the backorder will be created automatic in background, and you continue register in an flow without any breaks.
Another option for you might be to use packaging. It will give you some tracing. But I am not experienced in the packaging function in Odoo.
