Hi, I have an issue in GL V17 E


I hope you can follow my reasoning below:

1. The Outstanding Payments account has an opening balance of $503,242.03. What does this balance means? It means payments have been reconciled and posted to the account.

2. However, there was no matching payment in 2022 to clear these entries so it came forward as a debit to 2023.


I want to clear the opening credit balance of $503,242.03 in 2022 without creating any new entries. If I change any credit value date in 2022 to 2023, it should increase the outstanding payment balance... But it decreasing
