You could probably use the Gamification Tools to rank and track your suppliers.

Install module "Gamification" from Apps, a new menu "Gamification Tools" is created in settings app visible while on developer mode. 

This will allow you to create ranks and define goals relevant to your business/ supplier. Odoo will track the goals to accumulate points and move ranks of the contact. You could then use the ranks in other models.

You can likely achieve without access to code, but might require a higher level of configuration skills
