Odoo is applying a 6-hour safety margin (padding time) between product rentals. However, in the general settings, it's set to zero hours. I changed this time to 2 hours, but Odoo insists on applying the 6-hour buffer. What could this be?
Note: Its Odoo 18 Online.

Hello Tiago,

It sounds like you're encountering a caching issue or a specific configuration override within your Odoo 18 Online setup. Here's what you can try to resolve the issue:

First, ensure that your changes in the general settings are saved properly. Sometimes, a simple oversight in saving changes can cause unexpected behavior.

Second, clear your browser cache and cookies, then log back into Odoo. This step ensures that your browser is not loading an outdated version of the page.

Third, check if there are any active rental agreements or scheduled actions that might have been set up with the previous 6-hour padding. These could be overriding your new settings.

Lastly, if the issue persists, consider reaching out to Odoo support directly, as there might be a more complex issue at play that requires access to your specific Odoo instance.

The Default Padding Time in Rental -> Configuration -> Settings --> Rental specifies the default value for newly created products only.

Once a Product has been created, the Security Time (to be found i.e. via Rental -> Products -> *choose any rental product* --> Tab: Rental Prices -> Reservations) will not update automatically anymore. You will have to adjust this value for existing Products manually.
