Founder & CEO – Talents Digital Services (TDS)
Founder & Chairman – Digital Integrated Solutions (DIS), KSA

Yasser Maher is a veteran computer engineer whose three-decade career began at IBM Global, where he rose to lead IBM Technology Services in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Sub-Saharan Africa, later serving as Software & Brand Services BU Executive for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey. He holds a Master Executive Sales degree from IBM Business University (Reading, UK).

Under his leadership, TDS evolved into a premier Odoo Gold Partner, pioneering a zero-downtime migration methodology that has moved dozens of mid-market and enterprise customers—many on Microsoft Dynamics and other tier-1 ERPs—to Odoo while preserving historical data and cutting total cost of ownership by up to 50 percent. His team also built vertical accelerators for construction, real-estate, and manufacturing .

Recent success stories include a leading construction-materials manufacturer that slashed supply-chain costs, eliminated stock-outs, and boosted on-time delivery after TDS re-engineered its operations on Odoo—one of more than 70 transformation engagements completed since 2021.

Today, Yasser drives DIS—the strategic joint venture between TDS and ITSYS—to scale Odoo-based digital transformation across the Gulf, and he frequently speaks at Odoo Experience (Belgium, USA) on lowering ERP TCO and accelerating customer ROI. His forward-looking vision combines ERP, AI, and green data-center technologies, striving to make digital transformation faster, cleaner, and profoundly customer-centric.

Client snapshot
Sigma IT is an Egyptian digital-transformation powerhouse that designs and builds enterprise networks, data-centre campuses, and cyber-secure cloud infrastructures for finance, healthcare and government clients. Their services range from network implementation and NOC-as-a-Service to Industry 4.0 consulting and managed data-centre operations.

The challenge
Rapid growth stretched Sigma IT’s legacy mix of spreadsheets and point solutions:

Project visibility – dozens of concurrent campus-build projects with complex BoQs, subcontractors, bonds and progress-billing milestones were hard to track.

Dual-role partners – key counterparts act as both suppliers (hardware) and customers (subcontract services), demanding seamless 360° AR/AP reconciliation.

Financial control – landed-cost, LG/cheque cycles and multi-currency purchasing needed tight linkage to real-time project P&L.

Our solution
TDS deployed a two-part Odoo roll-out for 40 users on odoo.sh:

Phase Duration Key modules & tweaks
Part 1 – Commercial “quick win” 2 month Sales, Purchases, Inventory, Invoicing & Accounting (standard) – plus cheque & LG management extensions
Part 2 – Construction command centre 6-8 months Custom Construction app (BoQ → Project → Gantt), subcontract & material consumption tracking, progress invoicing with automatic bond/retention deductions, project warehouses & analytic accounts

No-downtime data migration and zero intrusive custom code kept total cost of ownership low while leaving room for future upgrades.

Business impact (first year)
30 % faster quote-to-project hand-off thanks to automatic BoQ conversion to controlled projects.

Real-time margin insight on every campus build; finance now closes projects 50 % quicker.

One-click reconciliation of cross-party AR/AP reduced manual journal entries by 70 %.

Audit-ready transparency in LG/cheque, custody payments and multi-currency landed costs.

Why it matters
This project showcases TDS’s deep construction-industry know-how applied to an IT-services context. By fusing Odoo’s standard strengths with construction-grade extensions, we enabled Sigma IT to run network-campus roll-outs with the same rigour civil contractors apply to megaprojects—while keeping the agility the tech sector demands.

Result: Sigma IT now delivers campus networks faster, with tighter cost control and an ERP foundation ready for future managed-service scale-out.
