For a manual inventory adjustment, looks like there isnt a journal entry created automatically. It did create auto journal entries in Odoo18. Is this feature removed?

If removed, how do I obtain this flow again in Odoo19?

This is the scenario. I am importing all the opening balances and stock level of a company. The balances are pretty simple but the stock amount. I did do physical inventory, but I cannot see the opening stock valuation amount anywhere on the ledgers and other acc reports.

Do I have to create it all manually?

It did set up AVCO costing method and Valuation method of Perpetual (At invoicing) on the product category level. So there's no mistake from my side at all.

Hi,

In Odoo 19, manual inventory adjustments no longer automatically create journal entries if the product category valuation is set to “Perpetual (At invoicing),” unlike Odoo 18 where such entries were sometimes generated. As a result, opening stock valuations from manual adjustments do not appear in ledgers or accounting reports. To restore the automatic flow, you can either change the product category valuation to “Perpetual (Automated)” so that inventory adjustments generate accounting entries, use the dedicated “Opening Inventory” feature to import stock balances, or create the journal entries manually for opening stock. This change ensures that stock value is only recorded when stock moves are linked to invoices, maintaining accurate accounting under the “At invoicing” method.
