Hello,
i would like to make a field available for advanced search.
Is it possible to do that through the interface (with the developer mode?) and if so, how can i do that?

If you add a field into a model, it would be automatically available in the Advance Search as long as the field is stored in database or searchable. Related and function fields are usually not stored unless if you set it's store attribute. Function fields can be made searchable through fnct_search attribute of the field.
