Is there a way to rearrange the date format without customizing the software so it adheres to the American/Asian style, placing the oldest dates on the left and the latest on the right?

It might sound like a minor detail, but for US firms it's important. Presenting financial documents to investors or banks in a format they're not familiar with causes them to be immediately skeptical of the other details. They start questioning the accounting methodology and software, rather than discussing the core business fundamentals. 

That's dumb, because it shouldn't matter, but in the US at least people are weird about that stuff. Telling them it's a European accounting software that they have never heard of will take you down a rabbit hole that's best avoided. 

This thread is a bit old, but I came upon it because I had the same question. The answer says to select the current month, and then compare by the previous 11 months. That works, but you don't get a total like you do in quickbooks and netsuite. Is there any way to get a total with the compare by feature? In other software it is referred to as a "group by", which perhaps explains the difference and the lack of a total.
