I used to develop for Odoo about 10 years ago (version 6 back then) and haven't touched it since due to professional changes.

Now I'm considering using it for the accounting of my small company, and later maybe extend it to more modules.

I know I can use the enterprise accounting for free on Odoo online but being a dev I still have a preference to install it myself. So I've been looking into accounting modules since the acounting is no longer included in the latest versions.

Regarding the available accounting modules, could someone please tell me what the best choice is between the following options I found? It would be for Belgian accounting so I would need XML export for VAT and XBRL for annual reporting.

- The OCA accounting modules

- base_accounting_kit 

- Odoo Enterprise

And would you recommend version 16 or 17?
