I've typed in a customer number in the internal notes field, followed by another number. If I use a carriage return in the internal notes field, the content gets duplicated in an export as .xlsx
Content example (Internal Notes field - Contacts)
Customer ID AHGUHUD
Another Number 12345678
If you export the contact, the content of that field is multiplied several times in the excel cell.
You can try to use html BR element (without the spaces) ,
at the place in your sentence where you want to create a new line
