This talk offers a clear, functional roadmap for onboarding accountants into Odoo—starting from their very first login to confidently closing their first month. Designed for consultants, implementation leads, and finance managers, this session highlights the practical steps and key touchpoints needed to ensure a smooth and successful transition for accounting professionals, especially those moving from spreadsheets or legacy systems.
Attendees will learn how to align Odoo’s accounting features with familiar financial workflows, simplify the user interface, and configure key components like the chart of accounts, journals, taxes, and reconciliation tools. We will also explore how analytic accounting and reporting can be introduced early to create quick wins and build confidence.
Real-world examples and a month end onboarding checklist will be shared to help reduce friction, shorten learning curves, and empower accountants to take ownership of their work in Odoo. The goal: make every accountant feel at home in Odoo—right from day one to month-end closing.
