Wrong credit or debit value in accounting entry !

Question

Hi Guys,

When i Refund a order from POS and i want to close the session it show this error message
Wrong credit or debit value in accounting entry !

please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know that this is many years later, but perhaps this answer will help someone who googled this question:
You cannot enter a NEGATIVE value in a journal entry or you will get this error.  To CREDIT $-100 in a journal, you actually need to DEBIT $100 instead.

This error is raised when the Accounting entry Odoo is being asked to create has a debit or a credit value of 0.00.

Hello,

Same Warning message here, caused by generating a periodic journal accounting for monthly outgoing rent.

Launchpad Bug is already registered... Found no solution or workaraount yet.

Ubuntu 14.04/64 LTS Odoo 8 from git.
