Middle East Calcined Clay Company (MECCC) is an Omani industrial firm focused on producing Sarooj, a traditional and eco-friendly construction material. In collaboration with Suhar Industrial City (part of Madayn), MECCC is establishing a state-of-the-art factory spanning 45,000 square meters, with an investment of OMR 5.4 million. The facility will have a production capacity of 250,000 tons annually and will feature energy-efficient technologies, automation, and a modern quality-control lab. Supported by the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, the project aims to promote sustainable use of local resources, contribute to heritage restoration, create local jobs, and position Oman as a competitive player in the global clay and construction materials market.
