manufacturing order in Odoo

Question

Hi,
We have a product with a BoM that we want to setup the manufacturing order for it. One of the components in the BOM will go from our warehouse to a place to be painted and then we will get it back again and build the product. I want to know how should we put that painting process in the manufacturing order? How does it work in Odoo?

This process can be achieved with creating a BoM type subcontracting for the painted component with the unpainted product as component of BoM.
