Ikea BV
IKEA, een wereldwijd bekend meubel- en interieurbedrijf, heeft sinds de oprichting in 1943 een revolutionaire invloed gehad op de manier waarop mensen hun huizen inrichten. Met zijn oorsprong in Zweden, begon IKEA als een bescheiden onderneming en groeide uit tot 's werelds grootste retailer van zelfmontage-meubels.De kenmerkende geel-blauwe outfits van hun medewerkers kunnen door het personeel van IKEA België en Nederland aangekocht worden op een e-commerceplatform (Magento, geimplementeerd door Ewings (link toevoegen?)), noem het gerust een webshop. IKEA had echter nood aan een efficiëntere manier voor het beheer van de leveringen van deze bestellingen.
Aan de hand van een analyse brachten we de verschillende partijen in kaart, maakten we een overzicht van de activiteiten en keken we wat geautomatiseerd kon worden met behulp van Odoo. Bovendien bouwden we een connector tussen Odoo en Magento. Die connector konden we verder implementeren bij om het even welke vestiging van IKEA. Zo konden we naast Ikea Belgie ook Ikea Nederland voorzien van deze oplossing, en staat Ikea zwitserland op het punt om live te gaan. We kunnen met andere woorden opschalen waar en wanneer nodig.
