I'm hoping someone can help me as I'm definitely starting to get disheartened.

I'm opening a single-member consulting business and would like to use Odoo for my Accounting. In theory, should be pretty simple.

Step 1: Sync my Bank Account with $500.

Step 2: Debit Bank Suspense Account, Credit Capital Account for $500. 

EDIT: God, this forum is insanely buggy. I can't have two links on a post without losing half of my text? I've removed the links to Odoo's video where they don't address this at all, as well as a forum post that's similar and provided guidance for step 2.

Anyway, I cannot get the synced bank transactions to reconcile against my opening investement journal entry. Please help. I'm afraid to write more because the forum keeps deleting half of my text.
