Hi, I am trying to learn how Odoo works since we are planning to move from our current very limited ERP (inside our web-shop) to Odoo. Odoo products have reorderining rule with min and max quantities, like our current ERP has. But our current erp calculated these values using Sales history (30 weeks, 15 weeks, 5 weeks (according to a certain formula, emphasizing the most recent sales)).

Is this possible with Odoo? We have +10 000 products (and soon 20 000) so maintaining min / max qty manually is not possible. We need them to be adjusted and calculated automatically from sales history of products.

Thanks:)

Hello,

My understanding of the question is - there is a rule, that calculates min and max stocks, based on 30, 15 and 5 weeks sale of products, and based on that, you order products to inventory.

I am not aware about Odoo standard feature that covers this scenario out of the box, but here is my proposition what you could try doing, to mimic it.

Use a Scheduled Action to update min/max periodically. With that, you have control over the formula used for calculations. You can do it from UI (turn on Debug Mode, then go to Settings > Technical > Automation > Scheduled Actions). The model you want to update is „Minimum Inventory Level”, other options - per your need. You need to craft some code that updates min/max as well.

I haven’t tested proposed solution, if you choose this solution, be sure to test it before using on production.
