Users of the Helpdesk app sometimes send outbound emails when they mean to write an internal note. I am the admin and want to know how much time I have to delete an email that was not intended to be sent. Anyone know how often Odoo sends out messages? Are they batched?

Please advise.

Hi, I checked and it is set to run every 15 minutes. My question is, where do I find those email that are waiting in queue and potentially delete the message I do not want to send out?

Hi,


If Odoo’s Email Queue Manager runs every 15 minutes, you can stop emails before they are sent. Activate Developer Mode, then go to Settings → Technical → Emails. There, filter by State = Outgoing to see messages waiting in the queue. You can either delete them or mark them as canceled. Once the scheduler runs and sends them to the SMTP server, you can no longer stop them.

Hi Faustino:

It depends. Some emails are sent out instantly whereas others go through an email queue. You can activate "developer mode", go to Settings > Technical > Automation > Scheduled Actions and check the frequency of the Mail: Email Queue Manager scheduled action that sends the ones in the queue.


UPDATE:

You can find the queued emails in Settings > Technical > Email > Emails.
